Reviews
great customer service and the pick up and delivery when your vehicle is in the shop is very convenient. Clay and Dakota communicated very well on the issues with my truck and went above and beyond in making sure they were all fixed. Highly recommend Don Vance for your next vehicle purchase
Ordered an F350 for my business in April. I am an Oklahoma resident. Paid my $1000 deposit. Could not feasibly sell my ‘19 F350 until the new one was here. I was notified ten days or so ago that it had arrived. Was told I had two weeks to pick it up or I’d lose my deposit (and the truck) or pay an additional fee for them to hold it. With 3 days left, I told them yesterday I’d pick it up today. Was told the only thing I would need was a cashier’s check. Set out this morning for the four-hour trip to Missouri and received a text that I would need proof of insurance. I sent that to them and they responded that it was not sufficient because it had my business name instead of just my name. Note that my business name has my name in it. They said that would not work through Missouri law, because they sold it to me and not my business. Naturally, I am upset and not understanding the hoops I must jump through. The finance manager proceeded to tell me the deal was off and he would return my deposit. I told them I would ensure it through another company and give them that proof today and I was told that they would not sell the truck to me because I was rude. Taught me a lot about ordering a vehicle. A contract with them means absolutely nothing and they’ve had my $1000 for 6+ months. Thankfully, I still own my 19. It’s obvious that they could sell this truck to someone else and make more profit. That’s not how a business should operate.
I really try to give companies a fair chance to correct service failures. I bought my Super Duty here new. I take it there for service, oil change and tire rotations. What i don’t understand and why this task doesn’t get done even when asked if completed. I ask for tire rotation every time. They rotate them but never adjust tire pressure when doing this. That’s a significant difference front to back. Three times in a row this basic skill and service has been a failure. Even if asked for. Hate to say it, Wal Mart would probably beat you in this basic assessment. It does make me wonder, do you put the lug nuts on by impact wrench or hand torque? Such a simple thing. Maybe there is a leader at this dealership who might use this as some advice on service follow through and doing the right thing. Simple thing isn’t it? A one star. Haven’t given many of those but failure to listen and do right warrants the review. I would caution anyone to question what is performed.
Purchased an $81,000 2021 F350 DRW 4x4 in Sept 2023 from salesman Mike Hartman and general manager Mike Barker and was told multiple items serviced prior to purchase. After several hour drive home found many of the items stated to have been serviced appearing in need of repair/service. Attempted to contact dealer for repair and was belittled by the general manager for following up on items. Attempted to contact owner by phone to discuss interactions with general manager and issues with truck and was told all communication would need to go through general manager. Sent owners Don and Vicky Vance a certified letter attempting to remediate issues with truck purchase prior to leaving review and had no response 3 weeks later.
*Update: Have taken truck for service to local Ford dealer and confirmed items stated as completed prior to purchase from Don Vance Ford needing serviced.
What a great dealership! They helped us out when our car broke down on trip. They worked hard to get us back on the road the same day and even made sure we got some lunch. And, it that wasn’t enough, when we had another issue down the road, they helped out working with the next mechanic. Highly recommend working with this dealership!
I liked my service from them when buying my pickup back in June or July. Nothing wrong there. My problem is honestly with the financial company chase. I recommend you staying away from chase when getting a loan. I had my payments setup with automatic payments so I don’t have to worry about it. Well chase had a glitch or something and my automatic payment wasn’t withdrawn. I’m currently fighting with them to get the mark removed from my credit since it was a fault on their end not mine. This is just a warning and I recommend customers to stay away from chase.
I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Marshfield Ford yesterday and Skyler Hanson was my sales guy! He was very nice and no pressure! He was very accommodating. When the vehicle I went to look at was a smokers vehicle, he located another comparable Jeep GC at the Ford dealer right down the street. It was even better! We worked out a deal and I drove it home! I would highly highly recommend Skyler H at Don Vance in Marshfield.
Recently popped in to trade in my 2021 Bronco Sport for a 2023 Bronco 2DR Black Diamond. My sales associate was Josh O'Quinn. I really appreciated the transparency on pricing for both the trade in and purchased vehicle; the vast majority of dealers beat around the bush or play games when it comes to anything Bronco. After the test drive, I told Josh I needed to think it over the weekend and I didn't get any pressure to buy that day at all. After thinking it over and squaring away my finances, I came in the next day to purchase and it was by far the quickest and most professional experience I've had purchasing a vehicle; I was out the door in less than 2 hours. In addition to that, Josh took the time to help me transfer my roof rack and hitch bumper to my new vehicle. I highly recommend Don Vance Ford and working with Josh O'Quinn!
